I’ve spent the last days by the sea. With great variances in weather and sky, one needs to keep an eye upwards for not missing some of the changes that is of camera interest. Yesterday I caught a scene, which looks like this in the ooc jpeg that was substantially underexposed (-2 EV) not to blow any highlights:
Would be interesting to see what treatment you will give it. As I use darktable 5.2.1 myself, compatible edits is of course the most useful, but any editing is of interest.

Whoa, who says raw processing in dt is difficult? .
dt 3.1 (AgX) defaults, nothing touched…

I think that dt has only compensated the 2 stops exposure compensation and applied AgX scene-referred defaults. A pretty good start!
My edit. The sky is all AgX. I used CB-RGB to increase the highlights in the water and make the foreground cooler.
Agx using smooth as the starting point…

(I have really confused my xmp files. Must find a better way for the addled mind to handle duplicates!)

I had to decide whether to keep the sun relatively bright or completely dull it away. I decided on bright, although I did tone it down a little.

Lovely shot!
I used dt 5.3 but since you requested this, I used sigmoid and not AgX, so your dt 5.2.1 should be able to read my XMP file.
(I didn’t like my contrast in the water or my denoising, so I’ve uploaded fresh versions.)

Pushed the chiaroscuro more than some might feel comfortable with.

I really like the atmosphere that you have captured in this edit.
Also the depth. In my own edit, I kept on thinking, “but it looks flat!”
