HEIF files only show up with AVIF filter not HEIF filter

I have some HEIF images from Sony A6700 (.HIF) and Iphone 13 (.HEIC) in Digikam. However, when I apply “MIME Typer Filter” to “HEIF files”, none of them appears. If I change the filter to"AVIF Files", then they all show up.

I also checked the properties for the file and it says Type: HEIF. Does the filter work properly?

I’m running digikam 8.4.0 (Build date 4/10/2024) on Mac OS 14.4.1 on Mac Studio with M1 Max

Thanks for reporting the error, it is now fixed in git/master and therefore also in the next digiKam-8.4.0 test bundles.
