Hello Community. Sounds like a fever dream, but I recall there being a plugin or tool where one could generate images or enhance them in GIMP. Please jog my noggin or provide a link. Thanks!

or maybe this one: fkneist/gimp-plugin-dall-e: Plugin for the GNU Image Manipulation Program, GIMP, making it possible to use OpenAI’s API endpoint for image editing.

BTW, something similar also exists for Krita.

As for Krita, I haven’t seen any other plugins. But for GIMP, there are quite a few different plugins, and there are more besides the ones I linked above…
For example, this one uses Stable Horde and open-source models: PCOW/Gimpinator: AI image generation plug-in for GIMP 3, powered by Stable Horde and open-source models
