I seem to be doing something stupid or something has changed in darktable. I want to copy pictures from an SD card and place them into my folder called Pictures (date). I want the pictures to then be placed in a subfolder for the year and subfolders for the month and subfolders for the day. I used to be able to do this and now I cannot for the life of me get darktable to do this for me. Can anyone please advise what parameters I should enter into the naming rules. Thanks in advance.
New day, fresh coffee and maybe this is the best I can do. I created a 2023 folder outside of darktable and then selected that for my base directory naming pattern. With the subdirectory I have added hyphens to make the subfolder names easier to read and the inclusion of $(JOBCODE) is optional, but allows you to identify the subject or location easily.
I am confused why in the base directory naming pattern I can not automatically get darktable to create a folder for the year. This is maybe just a minor issue, but I feel it would improve darktable’s copy and import capabilities if this was automatic. Maybe I am alone in my opinion of this?
