Is there a keyboard shortcut that will close the active module. currently I have to scroll to the top and click on the module banner or go to another module by scrolling or searching. This is cumbersome especially for the modules like CB-RGB.
If not, how do I create such a shortcut. The manual is not very helpful
I generally have shortcuts for each of the modules I use, to toggle them between open/closed state. Not sure that there is a way to do this generically for the active module. There is a <focused> section under processing modules and I guess that’s where I might expect to see such an option. It seems the options for the focused module are more to do with selecting the controls within that module.
The shortcuts functionality is extensive and quite complex. IMO if the manual attempted to explain it all, it would become overwhelming for the uninitiated so I’ve tried to find a balance between documenting the most useful stuff without becoming too cumbersome. What’s there was hard enough to write, and I still don’t understand all the functionality myself.
PRs welcome, though I think I’d prefer to cover additional detail in a separate page, to keep the existing page manageable.
It’s amazing how one learns things about darktable!
I too have wished for a way to close the current module. Some, especially with masking on, can be quite long. I had never realised that, when I have a shortcut configured to open a module, the same shortcut will also close it.
