Hiking in the state park

I went on a hiking trip with my wife, son, and dogs this afternoon. I used a better lens than I’ve been using, and I think I got some pretty good shots. This one has some raw exposure problem areas and some fringing. I tried to apply what I’ve been learning, and here is what I got.

Looks like the sunlit parts are maybe 1/2 stop overexposed, and there is no sharpness as the lens if focussed a few meters past the subject and the shutter speed was way too slow, resulting in camera shake.

Maybe try f/5 and 1/120th second shuttter speed instead of f8 and 1/20th second next time.

Thanks. I’ve got to learn to pay more attention to my settings. You are definitely correct.
