Friends, I can’t believe that I can’t work with a directory located on my home network in Siril. I’ve already raised the issue and I’m not getting any satisfactory answers.
I’m leaving the question, I hope someone knows how to do it. And that they explain it in detail.
Regards
Won’t doing so be really really slow unless your home network is unbelievably fast?
You also haven’t give any details about your OS’, network, or even linked to another post where you explain things.
I have Siril on a notebook and the files on a PC with enough storage, all under Windows. I want to open the files from the Notebook as I do with all the other programs: Pixinsight, Photoshop, etc. With Siril I can’t make the connection, I don’t know how to do it.
In the other programs you just have to write \192.168.0.xx\Astro to make the connection, with Siril it doesn’t work or I’m doing something very wrong.
I’m not a Windows user but it should work.
However this is a really bad idea to work on this network.
The I/O are the weakest point in batch processing. Use a fast and local drive to avoid any issues.
You should mount the share to a drive letter on your laptop, then navigate to the folder in siril
Solved! It was a matter of mapping the network location on the Notebook.
Thanks!!
