Three versions from me. I hope cinematic enough.
It’s some kind of evolution, so the second one is a step somewhere in between the first and the third edit:

I did this one in Lightroom (I hope that is welcome here).

Edit: I removed the content of the post.

No actually the forum is about FOSS packages and not commercial ones. You can of course reference them and we do discuss LR sometimes for context but the forum content, edits and examples are meant for open-source packages…

Hi Lix, welcome to the forum. I am an ex-LR user. I have switched to darktable a long time ago because I found it a more creative and fun editing tool than LR.

I never knock LR. It is an efficient program to edit and organise your photographs. But unless you have LR6 or an earlier version you also have to pay a ongoing subscription. Darktable and Rawtherapee are subscription free editing tools. I would recommend giving DT a try and if you need any help the forum here is a welcoming online community of users and developers. A new version of DT is released every six months and the next release will be V5.4 in December, but V5.2 is available for download now.

I am another one coming from LR a year ago and second what @Terry said here. It took me some energy and time to migrate but never ever looked back. I feel more happy the way darktable ‘invites’ me to develop my pictures. I have more possibilities at hand and more fun to try things.

And the disadvantages which I’ve read about I haven’t felt as such. They were often about tagging - but as far as I’m concerned there are no big differences except for the usual ‘getting used to’s’. And I do tag my pictures a lot…

So might you have questions for us please ask and be welcome!

Kind regards, Jetze

Holy moly you guys are so creative. A lot of new ideas coming in with little to no color grading!!

To me, you are free to use any software as long as you feel comfortable. People here prefer other free open-source software like Darktable and RT, but it’s not limited to anyone or anything. I would love to see your version in LR mate!

Pretty awesome bro. Very simple and strong! For me I would change the cropping a bit because it feels like I’m missing body parts. Overall still awesome

Yeah this is great advice.

It very much is limited to FOSS software here. Literally any other photo forum on the internet is full of proprietary software, and you’re free to use that software on those other forums, but we’re particularly dedicated to Free and Open solutions here.
