I’ve been restoring some old pictures lately using our cherished Gimp software. Many are black and white photos of my late father from the Vietnam Era when he was in the Army. Does anyone here have experience with this? I’ve been scanning the photos into the computer and opening them in Gimp one by one to edit them with varying results. I found a helpful tutorial about colorization and glow of B&W photos, but I’m wondering what are the recommended best practices? I’m using Gimp 3-0, and loving it by the way. Any editing tips you have would really help.
