Strange, I use basically the same approach. Raws and unedited jpgs in daily organized folders (with names) on a NAS. While edited and exported images live on a local data hard disk in one folder which is checked by Digikam.

I justuse lightroom (ducks) to import and organise my photos, then add those to my DT library (not copy-and-add)

Hi Jamie,
I came over from LR this year and use dt and only that for all keywording, culling (starring and labeling). Made some collection filters in dt to keep track of where pictures are in my workflow. Nothing special but works good for me.
What do you miss making you add this extra step?
