I use Digikam to keep my photos (sort of) organized.
I have one folder on my hard drive (Digikam calls hard drive directories “albums”) that contains all the photos that I’ve taken with my drone.
I am trying to figure how I can further refine the displayed thumbnails. Something like:
Only show pictures taken in 2021
Or, only show pictures taken before March of 2021
Things like that.
I have read the digikam help manual about using the filters and in the filter settings I can do a text, MIME, face tag, Geolocation, tags and a couple others. No way to search by date.
This seems basic enough that I feel that I must be missing something.
I also thought about going all the way to the left sidebar, and selecting “date.” This would give a hierarchy of all my photo based on the date/time metadata, but then I need to filter to only show pictures from the drone, and I don’t see a way to do that, either.
