How to add custom aspect ratio?

I need a custom aspect ratio with 7:9 aspect (portrait mode). I searched the web, but could not find it. But I know, I did this with an earlier dt version already.

It doesn’t help to use freehand and modify the values, I need it more than once.

Is it possible to make an oval picture, where the difference to the rectangle is transparent?

Doesn’t matter. Just close darktable before you edit the file.
