Hi, I am delighted to see the new version with live stacking included. But searching everywhere I cannot find a way to define the folder for live stacking. Not in the preference, and it is not the working directory either. Please advise.
This is the working directory, set as usual in Siril. Blue home button.
Thanks, unfortunately it does not work. I am using Linux App image. I do not find a blue home logo, only a red one.
Then I try to start live stacking, and copy fit file one by one into the working directory to simulate a dumping action by camera. It keep on saying waiting for files.
Can you show me a screenshot
Your home button is here. But green.
OK, I confess I am color blind. But with the home directory defined, it still do not start live stacking even when I manually dump file one by one into the folder.
I tried the command line version, it works. After I dump a new file into the folder, I enter the command line “livestack filename”, then it stack the new image.
Which kind of image do you give to Siril?
My images are captured with a Raspberry Pi camera in DNG format. I then convert them into FIT using Siril. Then I move all these FIT files into another tmp directory. After this I start the live stacking and copy these FIT file one by one back into the home directory.
As a matter of fact, if I do a normal stacking with Siril, it works flawlessly.
You should put your dng. Siril is able to livestock raw camera image.
Thanks, yes it works by dumping DNG one by one into the folder. Thanks a lot.
But I am a bit puzzled why when I dump FIT it does not stack.?
Anyhow it works great.
Probably the extension chosen in the preference is not the same.
May I ask you to clarify the matter of “the extension chosed in preferenze”?
I’m asking because my camera RAW format Is RW2 (Panasonic) and i’m not able to use livestacking.
I don’t see where I can change the file format.
Thanks In Advance
Andrea
I would like to add another information: if i upload in the directory for live stacking a JPEG file I receive an errore message in the console: “file not supported for live stacking” , followed by the name of the file complete with extension; but when I upload a RW2 file I do not receive any message at all.
My camera is connected to the pc via wifi and I can see all files (the rw2 and the JPEG) in the directory.
Am i doing something wrong?
Regards
Andrea
