Hi everyone,
Since G’mic 1.7.5 there is a new promising filter to dehaze pictures, that is “Dcp dehaze” (available into the Details group):

I have tried hard to improve one of my pictures to no avail.
My results are very bad: Mostly, I suppose, because I don’t know how to properly modify the settings of the filter…
Here is how my image looks;
Here you can download the original jpeg (in case you want to experiment yourself:
Many thanks in advance for any suggestion about this filter !

Ciao @Silvio_Grosso
No, I am most certainly not an expert on the Dcp dehaze filter in G’MIC,

Ciao @Silvio_Grosso ,
Check David’s new G’MIC invention and see how it will affect your haze-buildings:
Hello there,
I had some time today to have a closer look to the Retinex algorithm, and wrote a new G’MIC command -retinex that implements the Multiscale Color Retinex algorithm, as described in this page .
I’ve also added a filter in the G’MIC plug-in for GIMP to be able to use it easily (see screenshot below).

For those interested in G’MIC scripting, here is the whole code of the command :
I hope this will be of use for some of you ! I know there is already a Retinex plug-in by d…
