DT 5.6.1 on debian
How to have 3 images in the same print? I want to do a tryptic of 3 photos on the same print.
Can it be done in DT? If not, what could I use? I have not used gimp in literally 10 years (hopefully something else).
Thanks

GIMP (or similar program) would be faster and easier. Plenty of tutorials on youtube.
It might be workable in dt using Expand Canvas and Composite modules.
I don’t do that sort of thing but if you tried in DT I think it would be using the expand canvas and the compose features to get it together…I’m sure this came up in the past and someone shared an example…
Take a look here:
I would use Inkscape because it’s faster and easier than the Gimp. Just create a new image, drag and drop the three images, make sure they’re the maximum size, enlarge canvas so you get a white border, align and distribute to make them even, etc.
You could use ImageMagic:
magick imgA.tiff imgB.tiff imgC.tiff +append +repage out.tiff
That puts them side-by-side. To place them above each other, use “-append”.
You can put a coloured gutter between the images, a border around each input, a border around the output, and so on.
I would see this as one of the few times I would reach for GIMP or another pixel editor. But the suggestion by Todd Prior would work if you want to stick to DT.
Hello, G’MIC with the “Montage” option works very well.
I do manual photo composing in LibreOffice Draw, automated composing with ImageMagick.
Thank you, I didn’t think of it.
I tried last night and DT 5.6.1 crashes for me when I start playing with the enlarge canvas: top and bottom percentages.

and DT crashes with:

It’s not a one off. Every time, I try to adjust the top or bottom percentages of the enlarge canvas. The only difference is the cpu numbers, but always 2 cpus.
Thanks
