@srgmro I think, you did quite a good job with the sky. It is impressive but unfortunately burned out.
My try:
Yes, your rendition recovered a whole lot of sky I can’t deal with in my simple tools.
I like sky, and what I’ve found is, if the sky is profound, put more of it in the frame. I had to adjust my thinking to do this, as I was usually compelled to put some foreground in my images by default, “David Meunch” style. But, a majestic sky deserves to fill the frame…
Nice. It really is too bad that part of the sky is blown though.
An attempt at a somewhat menacing endresult:
RawTherapee (because I can’t recover detail in the overexposed clouds in Photoflow):

Be careful not to generate halos.
It seems to be possible to get a lot of of the overblown clouds back in line using the color propagation method in RawTherapee’s Highlight reconstruction.
My issue with processing this is that I don’t have green level equatlization in Filmulator and so I get a grid pattern in the sky (I believe this is an issue fairly specific to the 7D).
Highlight recovery worked fine, though.
Hmm…Yes. It was a combination of the wrong white clipping level and using the Tone Mapping (Filmic) layer. Using your value for the white clipping and the Shadows/Hilights layer I get this:
That’s was the option that I used in ART to recover the burn part of the sky.
I decided the green equilibration issue isn’t a problem just for a playraw, so here’s the Filmulated version:
