How to rotate image in GIMP?

Hi,

I found the tool under Layer - Transform - Arbitrary rotation would only rotate one (currently selected) layer, while the tool under Image - transform doesn’t have the option to rotate all layers at arbitrary angle. Is there a way to do this? (rotate all layers at same specified angle)

Two solutions:

#1

  • In the Layers list click between the Eye icon of the layer and the layer name, this will make a chain link appear.
  • Link all the layers that should rotate together (shift-click to select them all)
  • Use the Rotation tool to apply a rotation to any of the layer
  • Once done the same transform is applied to all other linked layers

  • Make a layer group and put all your layers in it
  • Select it in the Layers list
  • Use the Rotate tool on the layer group
