How to use own camera profile in Darktable?

I can’t make this work. Some documentation said folders in .cache or .config are relevant. There were no /color/in type folders. I created color/in under .config/darktable and copied my .dcp files in, but when I click “input profile” in the input color profile tool they aren’t shown.

I’m using ubuntu 18.04 LTS and darktable is 3.0.0rc2~git66.ee083f665 from darktable_3.0.0rc2~git66.ee083f665_amd64.deb which I got via @darix 's link the other day.

Also if I right click the icon in the launch bar, there’s no option to “lock to launcher”, how do I get it there for convenience please?

Thanks

you need .icc files:

Use this to create a icc profile

I am kinda sure that the original post refers to PIXLS.US - Profiling a camera with darktable-chart if not … you might want to mention which tutorial you are following.
