I can’t change language.

I have installed the Japanese version of GIMP 2.10.34, but I cannot change the language.
To begin with, “Japanese” does not appear in the language selection.
I read on another site that if I save the file in a folder that does not use Japanese, it will solve the problem.
I tried that, but it did not work.
If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please let me know.

A folder doesn’t use a specific language. Gimp by default uses the language the system is set up to.

You can set the the language in Preferences > interface, but since the list use the native name of the language (Français and not French) and is sorted alphabetically, the Japanese is as the end of the list:

I can’t find Japanese in that list even after scrolling down, is there a solution?

I have 2.10.34 and, in the recommended preference, I don’t get a list of languages, only US English.

So I guess you have to select Japanese when downloading the entire app …

When installing, I have selected the Japanese version, but still only English is shown as an option.
How should I deal with this?

Apparently you can download language packs from GIMP’s official site or third-party repositories (varies by version).

How you do that, I don’t know, maybe someone here knows.

Hi,
What is your operating system and version?

I have already installed GIMP on Windows, Ubuntu, Mac OS, and found no problems.
