Thank you in advance for your help.

Looks a lot like you’re out of memory. I get this sometimes with GMIC running a very demanding filter on a very large image while I have some other programs open at the same time (f.i. the combination Chrome, Darktable & Gimp seems to eat memory for breakfast, leaving nothing for GMIC).

Sometimes even the Gimp plugins to export in jpeg or png are messed up. Saving in XCF and restarting Gimp usually sorts it out. I have no experience with Windows whatsoever though so I can’t say if your issue is similar.

My solution is to close off all other programs to maximise the memory available or run Gmic from the command-line, once I’ve established the required variables for the filter.

@LenS1Rblde which version of G’MIC, which version of GIMP, which version of Windows?

Windows Vista 64. The last version of GIMP 2.8.22, G’MIC
version gmic_gimp_qt_win64.

Thank you

Try GIMP-2.9.8 and G’MIC-2.1.8.

Thank you. I will give it a try
