I keep getting an error whenever I try to render.

Whenever I try to render a video, I always get a “Write1 error: Could not open video codec: Generic error in an external library”

Has anyone else encountered this?

Linux or Windows ?
What kind of file are you trying to render as an output ?
File sequence, .mov, .mp4 ?
