Hi Apple Silicon macOS users, I was wondering if anyone could help me test this small application. It is an sound analyzer for certain low notes on a piano.
To use, it should be as simple as clicking the box right below “Play Octave”, and you should hear a piano sound, and see the interface jiggle a bit. You can select different piano sounds to load, or choose your own recordings of C1 and C2 (the lowest two C’s on a piano). To hear each note individually, you can click the boxes below the Play Octave box. The synthesizer kicks in after a few seconds to hear a steady-state representation of the tone, and its level can be adjusted with the Synth Level sliders. Tuning pitches C4 and C5 can be generated with the red sliders to the right.
All comments greatly appreciated. Sound samples are courtesy Github and the University of Iowa. (tonjs-instruments, CFazKeys, MatsHelgesson.MaestroConcertGrandPiano, vcsl-keys, UofIowa). Licenced GPLv3. Designed in Max/MSP 9; source patch and sample bank included.
