When passing through London once on the way to Milan I had the good fortune of seeing some Monet paintings at the gallery. They are really very special.

Although I had seen some Monets in DC the year previous, in 1990 I was in Paris set to visit the Louvre—however it was closed due to an attempted heist where people broke thru the new glass pyramid. Bummer momentarily but really enjoyed exploring the city and finding a lot of the Louvre art spread about metropolitan Paris.
