@paulmiller asked if I had tried to crop or tried high contrast black and white version of one image in my 366/2024 photo project. At the moment I like to take those pictures too much and don’t like to use too much time on computer, so here is sister image of those icy rapids for any one interest playing with it.
It was about -20 degrees Celsius when I took this one and I tried to show that in my edit. I don’t have xmp for this RAW-file and my version shown here is one from my photo project (different RAW). Have fun playing!

GIMP. I used my large luminosity plug-in (10 masked layers) so that I could make local adjustments to contrast in specific areas, such as bringing out the structure in the snow and the water. I hope I succeeded!
Also in the luminosity masks I made adjustments to the saturation to slightly increase the reflected blue of the sky in the snow.
