I’m trying out this application to use in a project. I’m using a Raspberry pi 400 with stock Raspberry Pi OS 64 bit. When i’m downloading from memory card the download never stops, the transfer rate just goes down to 0.0 MB/s. Am I missing something obvious?

Can you copy files from the memory card using a file browser? If not, that tells you where to look for the source of the problem.
I can try to replicate the issue in about a week. I had no problems with import with use of the inbuilt importer in digiKam so for now I use that instead.
