At first I didn’t know what I was looking at: information overload – can’t compute. Once my eyes adjusted: it is so fuzzy that I want to reach out and touch it!
@lylejk, if you don’t mind some feedback, I would lessen the effect in some areas in order to make other areas pop out more; i.e., how would you like to direct the viewers gaze?

As for what look you would like, only you can adjust it to your own personal taste, afre. Like I said, to each his (or her) own.
Like a Magic Eye image, the more I look at it, the more I like it. I was just trying to figure out what you were going for. If you were to describe your artistic intent in two sentences, what would it be? Or is it for the viewer to interpret?

Pretty much most of my renders are done using GIMP w/ G’MIC by the way include my current fake HDR binge.
