In the castle park of Nordkirchen

On 1 May, we paid a visit to Nordkirchen Castle in North Rhine-Westphalia. The photo was taken in the park. I had to adjust the white balance quite a lot until it looked reasonably good. I’m looking forward to your edits …

I left WB as it is, but desaturated the statue instead

Latest AGX update…

Edit

I just thought I would play with the new attenuation reversal sliders…I really don’t have a targeted strategy yet as the module is evolving at a rapid pace but wow just two slider adjustments and I got quite a different and interesting result…

I made a deliberate choice to use daylight white balance to bring out the natural green light provided by the tree onto the dog. I can also understand wanting to counter balance this green as you have chosen.

It is a very difficult problem, from memory the parts of the image in the shadow looked greenish. During development, however, I didn’t like the greenish tone at all, so I finally used the RGB primaries module and the colour equalizer to soften the green tones.
The white balance didn’t work the way I wanted it to, probably because there was really a lot of green in the shadows.

Try Neutralize colors in Color Balance module:

And then add color with Color Balance rgb

Tricky WB on this one, finally took it from the marble on the right border.

My attempt. I couldn’t avoid the artifacts, but let it be for art’s sake . The statue must be marble, so I have focused on it to have a brownish tinge

The artifact lines make it look like a drawing with fine black marker strokes
