hi, Can i ‘‘convert’’ adobe indesign (.indd) to Gimp.

Adobe InDesign is a page layout designing software and the FOSS equivalent would be Scribus. If you can convert the native .indd files to the .idml exchange format, Scribus may be able to open these. If you want to edit an InDesign graphic in Gimp you would have to export the image first into a format that can be read by Gimp ( bmp, gif, jpeg, mng, pcx, pdf, png, ps, psd, svg, tiff, tga, xpm …).
