Now I have tried to expose the neg a stop lower so the light source is not clipped, and using the correct white balance for the light source in camera. Whether I let darktable use the camera WB or I do a spot reading in a sprocket hole doesn’t make any real difference. I still get the same result. I’ll post a Play Raw and see what you guys can come up with.
