The font in the interface is missing. Can someone help me with this?

hi and welcome to the community. what operating system are you using? how did you install gimp?

I’m pretty sure you’re on a Mac, remain the problem >> is it an Intel or Apple silicon?
Where did you download GIMP?

In general, there are 3 possibilities.

  1. Font cache in Mac OS is broken.

  2. Fonts itself are broken.

  3. GIMP setting files are broken.

If the problem is 1, delete font cache in OS and restart computer.

If the problem is 2, restore your fonts in OS.

If the problem is 3, delete all setting files of GIMP (including your user’s setting files) and reinstall GIMP.
