Regarding the masks, let me clarify how they work:
- When you create a mask, you’ll see a red overlay indicating the masked area (when not hovering over any adjustments).
- When hovering over adjustments, the red overlay temporarily disappears so you can see the mask changes more clearly.
- If you exit, deselect, or close the mask tool, the red overlay disappears, but your mask edits remain visible.
- The 0–100 transparency slider controls the mask’s overall strength, and the red overlay helps visualize how much of the image is being affected.
I hope this explanation helps - the behavior is similar to Lightroom’s masking tool.
