Is GIMP 3 no longer able to scan?

Hi all,
I can no longer find the option to scan in GIMP 3.n.n, whereas I can still do so in GIMP 2.10. (via Xsane).

Has this feature been removed, or has it been moved elsewhere? I can’t find any mention of it in the documentation.

Debian 11
GIMP 3.0.8 or 3.2.0

Debian 11 ? Is that a Gimp 3 flatpak / appimage ?
and
Is that using Wayland ?

If it is still using Xorg (and maybe Wayland) and not a sandboxed installation then there is a python plugin RunasSudo/gimp-xsanecli: GIMP 3.0 plug-in for scanning via XSane - gimp-xsanecli - yingtongli.me
Using Mint 22.3 / Gimp 3.2.2 (from PPA) looks like this:

Edit: also the xsane plugin for Gimp 2.10 was broken and not yet re-written for Gimp 3.
