I’m an asian photographer. As you may know most of asian women are white and took this very serious. White means beauty out here. (E.g. Chinese ,Japan)
I used to using Lightroom. To whiten up skin I increase exposure and bring down highlight then increase luminance in HSL tool which is very important. Because this tool can whiten skintone from tan or darker to white.
But there’s no HSL tool in rawtherapee. And HSV doesn’t help.
the question is how to do that. I really want to know. I don’t want to go back to lightroom. Please help.
Sounds to me more like a job for something like gimp or darktable that supports more advanced masking to reduce the amount of ‘collateral damage’ done.
I’ve tried those curves already. I’ve seen those pics you’ve posted before. I forgot to mention.
At the first place, I used to find it hard to use. And doesn’t work like expected. It light up very narrow of colors range ,And left some colors the same so the pics went ugly. Pipette doesn’t work like Targeted adjustment tool in LR.
But now I know how to use it better. Thanks to you.
