I was trying to create a DNG with lossless JXL compression, but it failed to display on iOS 26.1 or 26.2
I have validated the DNG by using dng_validate 1.7.1 from Adobe DNG SDK, it can complete the validation. And Lightroom has no problem to import it.
The weird thing is, other lossless DNGs from Adobe DNG converter can successfully get rendered on iOS 26.1+
So what kind of modification can be done to this DNG to make it display on new Apple systems?
Many thanks in advance~

Thank you. As far as i know, darktable doesn’t support JXL in DNG yet.

Do you know whether this would be worth a feature request?

Do you mean a feature request for darktable?
I saw some posts from other sites said when jxl dng is supported by libraw, darktable will also support it.

It is a well known issue and already tracked in darktable/rawspeed . There is even a PR to play around with .
LibRaw already supports JXL, if it is built w/ Adobe DNG SDK. That second piece of the puzzle is not trivial to roll out, and might or might not happen for darktable.
However, dnglab might support decoding these already.
