Jagged Edges and Black Space when Using Transform

Hello everyone.
New to GIMP - and liking the features so far.

I am trying to place a picture inside a picture frame using Transform. The frame is on a bit of an angle. The picture is straight on.

When I follow any instructions I’ve found - I always end up with

  1. Jagged edges around the manipulated image I’m trying to fit into the frame
  2. Black space where the image was reduced to fit in the frame.

Interpolation is set to LoHalo
Clipping is set to Adjust

Looking for suggestions on what to try next.

Thanks

Hi! Make sure the layer has transparency before transforming it. You can right-click on the layer in the layer dockable and click “Add Alpha” to do this.

You ROCK cmyk.student!

I was clicking the “Add Alpha” - but may not have actually added the Alpha until after I had played with the image.

Thank you very much!
