I played around a bit shooting a cityscape of the Bauhaus architecture in Haifa, Israel through rainy windows. Playing around with the aperture allowed me to bring the buildings in the background into focus just enough to be recognizable as buildings but not enough to distract from the raindrops.
Darktable for raw conversion on these, digikam to do some levels & curves and finally CLI-scripted GMIC to apply a 50% transparent photoillustration layer.
