I’ve pretty much always used a Logitech keyboard/mouse but my latest version (MK470) isn’t working out for me. I use Linux and do no gaming - my priority is editing with darktable followed by other multimedia/general computing programs. Does anyone use a keyboard/mouse combination that they would recommend or should I just look for another Logitech product?
I’ve personally no specific recommendations for keyboard/mouse combos, and have never registered any such in this forum.
EDIT: Except that mouses with a middle-click function (clickable scroll-wheel) is useful
But as for the hardware part of darktable use, which is your priority, you could perhaps take a look at other equipment that can be used when editing:
It would be easier to help if you explain what is not a good match for you in that keyboard.
That said, I don’t think Darktable requires anything special in keyboards. A plain vanilla one should give you enough keys with modifiers (Ctrl, Alt, …). Similarly for the mouse, a single scroll wheel should be enough, and almost all mice have that these days.
Thanks for the replies. I did replace the keyboard/mouse with another Logitech combination that seems to meet my needs.
The previous keyboard had no warning that the Caps Lock had been selected and the keys were too easy to accidentally push. The mouse was too modern and just didn’t feel natural - which led to mistakes.
I have used track balls and graphics tablets previously but for whatever reason ended up going back to a mouse.
