Can anyone tell me exactly what the dots inside the gamut projection refer to?

Spokes, emerging from approximately the white point…
But I’ll have to look through old literature to
be able to tell more…

I did wonder if they somehow correlated with the areas of the CIE Chromaticity diagram
Tried looking everywhere but can’t see a mention of them
Semi-educated guess:
A saturation sweep of the main colours
at different saturation levels.
