I’ve recently got a brand new second hand iPhone 12 Pro and this weekend I wanted to test it during my trip across Italy and France.
darktable doesn’t support iPhone ProRAW but I’ve found that Halide recently introduced Process Zero that basically creare a DNG that is compatible with darktable.
I’m really suprised about the overall quality for a camera embedded in a phone
And sorry for the stock image look, but it was an easy one to take. Everything there was incredibly beautiful.
I’m curious to see other edits and what do you think overall about my edit.
I deliberately tried not to over cook this image and restrained myself. I found it an interesting image to recover cloud details in. I did not apply any dehazing as I accepted this as part of the natural scene. Certainly other edits here look more appealing. 2024-08-20T124558543-iPhone12Pro.dng.xmp (15.6 KB)
I had some fun playing with the image, no results that exceed those already shared, but also got the dreaded message of incompatibility and dropping back to lighttable when adjusting the color processing in the Sigmoid module.
Seems that darktable is not 100% happy with the Halide output.
