Last sun rays hit in the summit

A beautiful afternoon in the last summer… however I can’t find the way to display a reallystic reddish summit. Perhaps you can help, and also, have some fun

Not the most concise or direct pathway, but I’m okay with it. darktable 5.0.1

Dt 5.0.1. I find that your challenge could be met (with a slight reservation for what “realistic” may mean for you in this case - I wasn’t there … ) by using the color equalizer that you haven’t used yourself. Also added a graded exposure on the sky.

As you’ve asked for something realistic, I would do it like that.

Unfortunately the pic is missing some sharpness. Otherwise very nice.

For sunset light, cameras are said to exaggerate the orange cast compared to what is seen by human vision.

So off to RawTherapee’s HSV Equalizer to crank it down a bit:

I dont really know. I remember I set closed f to have subject (family) and landscape in focus, in photos I shot that afternoon. But yeah, f22 is too much
