After installing the latest Natron on Ubuntu 19.10, it works fine the first time I use it. For every subsequent launch, opening the Text tool results in an error dialogue containing:
Failed to create an instance of net.fxarena.openfx.Text:
Error: Description (kOfxActionLoad and kOfxActionDescribe) failed while loading net.fxarena.openfx.Text.
More information is in the console:
couldn’t open library /home/***/Natron-2.3.14-Linux-x86_64bit/Plugins/OFX/Natron/Arena.ofx.bundle/Contents/Linux-x86-64/Arena.ofx because /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcairo.so.2: undefined symbol: FT_Done_MM_Var
It looks like there’s an API mismatch between the version of Cairo Natron expects, and the version I have - but then I don’t understand why it works the first time. I get the same error when installing via the ‘normal’ installer or the ‘portable’ one.
