I too have an R7 and the JPG panoramas from the camera are not as good as what can be achieved shooting RAW editing to PNG (or TIff) and stitching in dedicated software. Main problems is wide dynamic range in lighting as in your shot results in blown out highlights. But I occasionally used the cameras panorama feature myself.

I am also unhappy about my camera’s (Panasonic GX9) panoramas. The problem is usually highlights roll off, with a 180 degree panorama some parts of the sky will be inevitably too bright, and on the other edge the objects will be to bright. I would rather handle this in raw.
I am happy with my camera’s piano feature. Setting the crop view on the gfx 100s ii and shooting raw + jpeg leaves me with a 50 megapixel photo in an xpan aspect ratio. The aspect data is written into the raw file so I can find and crop them. I discard the jpegs.

auto correct is great! in fact it probably is due for some ai features.
Are you talking about the level that shows if the camera is tilted left/right/up/down?
The panorama looks very nice and it is with very wide open lens. I am on Sony a7cii but I’ve had some challenge with wide angle lens. Admittedly - did not use the leveling. The 28mm lens usually behaves better (but much more stitches). Looking at your shot - seems that I was missing a critical feature.

More than this. The camera indeed has a roll/pitch indicator but the IBIS will also keep the sensor exactly upright as long as you are within reasonable margins, so you can concentrate on the pitch
