there’s a guy locally who always seems to be flying off to another open source tech conference, drives me mad, it seems so excessive, I’ve suggested he try the train, but no, “I’m flying to Peru to sit on my laptop”, eleventy did their conference online which I thought was good, a couple of days of single track livestream on youtube which got left up after as videos
Been thinking of a pixls meet up for a while, maybe somewhere around Denver/Wyoming/Montana. But not sure our Canadian friends would come across the border any time soon.
For me its become too industry focused. We are not doing a libre graphics track this year, and outside of another nitche Linux thing I’m into, I’ve had trouble finding talks I’m interested in seeing there for a while.
For me, LGM isn’t about sitting in front of my laptop, it’s about meeting friends and having fun. And that doesn’t work online. During the coronavirus pandemic, we have learned that humans are social beings.
Hello! Excited for LGM 2026. I just wanted to stop by this thread and say if anyone is interested in submitting slides to the State of Libre Graphics, that would be well appreciated! I made a post here about it, and the git repo is here.
I’m considering it. It was good fun the last two years, and Linz isn’t too far from Regensburg (if they ever manage to reopen the train line). Probably just for one or two days, though.
I will probably be there at least for one day, Linz is close enough to Vienna and if I buy train tickets in time its cheaper than staying at a hotel or airbnb.
I mean… if there will be talks and workshops that I am interested in. I myself probably wont give a talk or host a workshop although I have enough material. Would be nice if someone really important could talk about Spektrafilm.
