Libre Graphics Meeting 2026

Hi,

Is someone from here doing anything interesting at LGM 2026?

I didnt submit anything this year. I figured if there are no interesting photography related talks, workshops or bof, I wont go this year.

Instead, I want to host a workshop about agx emulsion at the Grazer Linux Tage, thats very close to Vienna, where I live.

LGM 2027 will be in Linz, which is again very close.

Thanks in advance for feedback and happy 2026.

A.

there’s a guy locally who always seems to be flying off to another open source tech conference, drives me mad, it seems so excessive, I’ve suggested he try the train, but no, “I’m flying to Peru to sit on my laptop”, eleventy did their conference online which I thought was good, a couple of days of single track livestream on youtube which got left up after as videos

I wish I lived closer, Austria’s a bit far for me
Will there ever be a Libre Graphics in Boston?

it’s generally possible to organise small meetups for open source stuff…

Been thinking of a pixls meet up for a while, maybe somewhere around Denver/Wyoming/Montana. But not sure our Canadian friends would come across the border any time soon.

No, sorry, but we can do a virtual meetup.

Of course, it could be held in Canada…

I hate flying, so driving only. Denver is 2 days drive. Much further isn’t feasible, but of course nothing stopping a Canadian meetup.

Denver; I used to commute to Denver for work. I think I could make it…

For me its become too industry focused. We are not doing a libre graphics track this year, and outside of another nitche Linux thing I’m into, I’ve had trouble finding talks I’m interested in seeing there for a while.

I will definitely be going to LGM this year and look forward to seeing every familiar face. And I look forward to every talk/workshop on photography.

For me, LGM isn’t about sitting in front of my laptop, it’s about meeting friends and having fun. And that doesn’t work online. During the coronavirus pandemic, we have learned that humans are social beings.

Watch out for “NICE” if you come to Canada…
