I noticed something that may be by design, but IMO it would be nice to address. If I have a linked mask and disable the original layer’s visibility, the linked mask doesn’t “re-link” when I re-enable the original layer’s visibility. There’s a warning that it can’t find the mask but that’s it. Once I re-enable the original I can manually re-link.
Hi,
thanks for the feedback. I confirm the current behaviour is intentional. I’m not sure I want to change this, I think we need some time to use the feature and see what is more convenient.
The reason I noticed it was I often toggle layers’ visibility to evaluate the net effect of the edits. In that context I think it would be useful to automatically relink but I realize that’s just one use case of one individual.
