Linux focus stacking (solved)

For stacking i used enfuse and pat davids tutorial. Now it seems that enfuse is no longer available for curent linux distros. I tried to get enfuse working with no luck. I tried it with gimp and chimpstackr as well. Could anyone tell me what software you use to do focusstacking?

github focus-stack

enfuse is certainly available for Ubuntu, even for the next version to come.

Oh ok. So it might be a problem with my distro. I run mint in version 21 or 21.1.
I might switch back to ubuntu then. Do you use enfuse?

Sometimes I do, but not for focus stacking. I use it to merge exposure bracketed shots.

Have you installed it via the software-center or via Flatpak etc.?

It was not available in 22.04 LTS due to one of the dependencies being in a would-not-compile state. It was fixed by 22.10, but Mint is based on the LTS release. You can see at enblend-enfuse package : Ubuntu that there is no jammy release

I forget what I did to get enfuse compiled and installed on 22.04 - all of my personal machines are running the latest non-LTS version.

sudo apt install enfuse

I paid up for ZereneStacker. Works perfectly under Linux. Some of my results are on my album:
extreme macro (most are stacked)

Yes Zerene. It is made by a talented and cool guy. Supporting individuals is good. At least when they deserve it.

Yes i saw that yesterday too. Sorry for all your trouble :see_no_evil:
I switched to Ubuntu 23.04 now and it works like a charm.
