Hello!

This is my first post on this amazing forum!
I switched from Adobe Lightroom last week and am now trying to have some fun with Darktable.
I’m really curious to see how you would process this photo !

You can consider me a beginner (but, I’ve read the Darktable documentation and watched some videos); I’m open to all your advice, personal experiences, and help.

I hope to be able to contribute to this section for a long time and share some fun photos to edit.

I’m really curious to see how you would edit this picture (It is a little bit blurry, but I like it) .

Hey @Panda_Bleu welcome! and great shot… and thanks for the Play Raw.

Here’s my go using RT 5.12-318 dev. Generally used Colour Appearance and CAM16 for lightness, chroma and contrast. And a Global spot for pre-tone mapping using GHS.

p.s. don’t forget to include a creative commons license agreement for play raw; you should see a template when you start the post (it’s just a guide)

Sentences like these is something we always like to see Welcome to the forum!

However, please compress your JPEGs, 22.1 megabytes is quite bonkers
The general consensus here is about 1080p (short edge) and under 1 megabyte

We also post the .xmp file for other users to study

With Darktable, I feel like I can “build my own car—manual or automatic, small or large, diesel or electric”…

Oops! Of course, I’ll compress the file so it’s under a megabyte ( and join my .xmp ) haha

Thanks, Terry; had to do a swap last week so it was good to have Easter off (so had a bit of time to have some fun); now I’m back to the grind (but today’s my Friday). lol
