Live view

For quite some time darktable supports tethering your camera. What was missing all the time was live view. This is about to change though. If you use master (and have a camera supporting it) you can now either use the eye button in the “camera settings” module or hit ‘v’ on your keyboard to start live view from within tethering mode. Since the preview is scaled to fit your screen it might be a good idea to hide some of the side panels.

Hi,

Thanks for this message. I am using darktable 4.8.1 with canon 650D for Tethering to intel Mac running the latest MacOS Sequoia. However the live view keeps getting disconnected /unmounted a few seconds after the live view is enabled. Otherwise there are no issues in connectivity.

could you please advise on how to resolve this issue. I have read the manual but couldn’t find anything pertaining to this issue.

Thank you,
Ozair

run darktable from terminal

/Applications/darktable/darktable.app/Contents/MacOS/darktable -d common

and checkt the output for indications what exactly fails.

Thank you, will try that and revert back. Need to have the camera connected to replicate the problem.
