Is it possible to load partial local adjustment processing settings from a saved profile to an existing image as a new separate adjustment (i.e. create a second RT-spot) while keeping the settings of the first RT-spot unchanged? Thought this might be useful for saving commonly used local adjustments as different processing profiles that could later be applied/added as needed, without replacing existing local/RT-spots in the image being edited.
No, you cannot.
But there is a way to do what it is you want:
- Create all the basic manipulations you want/need. One manipulation per spot,
- Turn all of the spots off (not to be confused with hiding them),
- Turn off the Local Adjustments module,
- Save the current profile, using ctrl-click and select Local Adjustments only (all spots should be selected).
You now have a profile that doesn’t do anything when you load it but you can selectively turn on the spots you need. Do make a habit of naming the individual spots.
Here’s the profile for the above dummy example: 4.spots.pp3
