Loading xmp from dt 5.3.0 into 5.2.1

Should I expect this not to work? I was working on a complicated exposure mask in 5.3 (built on my ubuntu laptop) and wanted to use it on my windows install of 5.2.0. It hung trying to load the orf file, so I updated to 5.2.1 and it hung.
Of course, the orf is from an OM-3, which had some recent updates on cropping, so, I’m wondering if I should quit beating my head against the wall and wait for a 5.3 release for windows

There is a weekly build of 5.3 for windows listed here on the forums if you look around a bit.

The weekly build for windows is called the insiders program and I exclusively use it for my editing.

I forgot to thank @paperdigits for the tip: I tried it and voila! intercompatibility problem solved
