Local trainstation

I didn’t really plan to much on this shot which is the local small train station of the town of Alkmaar. I ended up liking it, but not the framing or the road sign which was sitting uncomfortably in the way of a pleasing composition. After I converted the raw with DT, I addressed those issues with Gimp. In the end, I also decided on a drawing like conversion with GMIC, like it or not :innocent:

So: do your best (or worst for that matter)

Nice to see another Pentaxian on this forum! As a K-5 snapper it’s nice to play with a K-1 raw to get a feel for the extra detail.

This was a fun shot to edit. I did a b&w, selective color, dimension tweaks, and a lot of spot removal in Darktable, then exported to Gimp and blended in “freaky details” G’Mic treatment on the tree trunk, and a bunch of clone work. fun stuff.
